Moreover, her article, Juvenile Justice, was also published in the American Bar Association Student Lawyer Magazine in February of 2013. She was awarded the Best Direct Examination by the Trial Advocacy Board of 2011.Andrea’s emphasis in her law practice stems from her own childhood as a product of divorce. As she grew up her curiosity was peaked as to why she could not live with her father all of the time. In 2010, Andrea worked for the Honorable Mary Devereux at the 22nd Judicial District Court where she learned divorce methods, community property settlements, co-parenting guidelines including visitation, custody and support, and prenuptial agreements. In 2011, Andrea clerked for the Honorable Nancy Amato Konrad at Jefferson Parish Juvenile Court where she learned the importance of rehabilitation of minors in order to provide them with a chance to become productive members of society. Andrea Potter opened her law firm in January of 2014.
