As a yoga teacher with over 5 years of experience, I am passionate about creating a better world by helping people heal their minds and bodies through trauma informed care, somatic studies, and mindfulness. I have a certificate in journalism from Washington University in St. Louis, and a bachelor's degree in psychological and brain sciences from the same institution, which give me the skills and knowledge to communicate effectively and empathetically with diverse audiences and clients.Currently, I teach yoga at three different studios: WholeBody Physical Therapy & Yoga, Heather's Zen Den, and Yoga Buzz. I enjoy working with people of all ages, backgrounds, and abilities, and creating a welcoming and supportive environment for everyone. I also use my social networking skills to promote my classes, engage with my followers, and build a loyal and engaged community. I am always eager to learn new techniques, styles, and approaches to yoga, and to share them with my students and colleagues.I am also a Human Resources and Payroll professional with many years of experience working in higher education. I have a passion for people and employees and work to make our university a fair, just and equitable place. I manage a team for four professionals who work hard daily to achieve our departments mission. My employees know they can count on me to step up and in when needed to guide and provide a thoughtful ear to any situation.
