I guess you could say that in a way, I aim for my work to be almost invisible. Don't get me wrong—I want it to be great. But I’ve done my job well if the content you read doesn't really stand out. It just reliably leads you along, helping you seamlessly navigate to your goal because it’s clear, concise, and consistent. Hopefully, it might even surprise and delight you once in a while along the way. I have experience creating content for a wide range of communications roles. I excel at learning concepts quickly, understanding the audience to which I am writing and then breaking down complex processes into manageable explanations. I know a great deal about how to develop instructional content that is both clear and engaging. I have a keen eye for errors and inconsistencies and a drive to ensure ideas are communicated both correctly and effectively. While I enjoy the focused, independent work involved with writing and editing, I am also a really passionate team player who’s great at working with people—this has been my secret to success. I genuinely love to collaborate with others and I am successful at what I do because of the quality of the relationships that I build. I also have a proven track record of completing projects on time and budget because I make a point of being proactive rather than reactive. I anticipate the challenges and steps ahead so that we can properly prepare for them rather than be caught on our heels.
