With 36 years of experience in Communications and Media the Covid-19 pandemic saw André take an active organisational lead in Crisis and Pastoral Communications (External and Internal) including Security Planning. As Director of Public Affairs and Media Relations, André is also designated Spokesperson - liaising directly with government, local and international media organisations. Having led the in-house publication to privatisation as Managing Director; André’s duties now include oversight of operations, programming and original content development and production of video and podcasts for online platforms including livestreaming for an online Radio Station that is available on Google, Apple and Huawei app stores. A Television and Radio News personality in Singapore and the region; André's experience includes being News Anchor on Channel NewsAsia and News5 Tonight MediaCorp. He was concurrently Senior Editor and Producer-Presenter with MediaCorp Radio NewsRadio now CNA 938 LIVE and MediaCorp TV and then News Director at SAFRA Radio. André trained and worked with some of the world’s renowned Broadcasters; the British Broadcasting Corporation, Australian Broadcasting Corporation, American Broadcasting Corporation, National Public Radio (NPR USA) and Voice of America (VOA Washington DC). His journalistic skills were honed with the Associated Press (Washington DC, USA). He is also voice trained by Trinity College (London).A Communications Strategist in Public Affairs and Media Relations, he held senior positions in public and private sector organisations focusing on Internal Communications, Organisational Management, Crisis Management and Crisis Media Training. André's been a Communications Consultant to global, regional and local companies in the public and private sectors from Aerospace, Healthcare, Pharmaceuticals, Oil and Gas, Information Technology, Banking and Finance, Education and Sports. Co-Founder and Chief Operating Officer of VOX Group (S), André was a media and communications entrepreneur for five years. The Group's original sports content production and syndication brand VOXSPORTS was acquired by Sunset+Vine a UK independent TV Sports Production and Media Company of *Tinopolis Group*. Having volunteered with Government agencies in Sports, Disability Sports and Youth-at-risk: André was appointed by Minister Chan Chun Seng and SportSingapore - to the Steering and Implementation Committee of Singapore’s Vision 2030 Sports Plan. Parliament approved the recommendations of the Implementation Committee in 2013.
