I am the Shanahan Chair in Frontier Medical Solutions and a Redmond Barry Distinguished Professor in the Department of Biomedical Engineering and ACMD. I lead the Tissue Engineering Research Group in the Department of Biomedical Engineering, working in collaboration with clinicians, scientists and industry partners to develop solutions to medical problems, including tissue engineering for wound healing, novel antimicrobial materials and fabrication methods for medical devices. I also teach students studying biomedical engineering, supervise PhD students and contribute to the University's engagement in the Aikenhead Centre for Medical Discovery (ACMD) at St Vincent's Hospital Melbourne.
