As Account Coordinator, my job is to be an additional contact point for the clients, stay up to date on projects so that I can jump in with Account Management tasks when needed, and provide support to the Account Managers on daily activities. That support includes attending meetings, taking notes and contributing to brainstorming, strategy and client interaction. I communicate with clients through email, phone and in person on a variety of topics including the status of their projects, what we may need from them, answering their questions, and sending deliverables for feedback. I help the Account Managers stay organized through our project management system, spread sheets, and google docs. I do Digital Marketing research, copy writing and copy editing.

Dallas/Fort Worth Area

As the Accounts Intern I was the right-hand-man to the Account Managers. I drafted emails, learned our project management system, did research, took notes in meetings highlighting what the next steps were and any decisions made, reviewed materials before they were sent to clients for any edits, and helped the Account Managers stay organized. A big project I worked on was developing a break down of exactly what we needed from the clients to prepare for a war room (building the client a website in front of them in one day). The document categorized the content, defined any jargon, gave any necessary details, and included what the Ardent team would be doing on our side to prepare as well.

I worked directly under the Communication Administrator of Mission Arlington. I took pictures of the different services and programs that the mission offers, made daily copy and photography website updates, and put together the 2017 Annual Report. The Annual Report was my main focus. I worked with the staff to find out what the goals of the report were, who the audience was, and what changes they'd be open to. I laid out, designed, and wrote the copy for the report, consistently checking in with the Communications Administrator for feedback.

I sold advertisements for UTA's school newspaper by driving around Arlington, talking to businesses, getting contact information, and pitching our opportunities. With my elevator speech I presented who I was, what I was offering, and found out who I needed to talk to. Once a sale was made, I managed the account. I took payment, filled out creative briefs for our designers, coordinated the placement of the ad(s) in the paper, online, in the newsletter or on social media, kept up with the ad and how well it was doing, communicated the ad's success to the client, and continued the relationship with the goal of making them a consistent advertiser.

As an intern for Mrs. Naschke I shadowed her in her daily activities. I attended brainstorming, strategy and planning meetings both internal and with clients. I did client research and put together SWOT (strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats) analyses for her to use in strategy building. I edited press releases and media announcements.
