As I sit here and think about my "summary" I cannot help but think back to the very first time I worked. I was so excited that my Dad was going to let me be in charge of the cash box in our family vending booth at a local car show. I'd helped my father build this collapsing vendor booth in the garage months previous as well as helped him work on the 1956 Ford Fairlane convertible. We were ready for a summer of vendor events and car shows. I was double digits now, so it was time to learn to handle money. That's honestly where it all began; The long list of skills and abilities that I've honed and mastered along the way. My life wasn't so great after that summer, with my parents divorcing and the trajectory of my life completely changing. I went from riding my bike 5 1/2 miles round trip for 4.15 an hour making tacos at the local Ole Tacos to winning a corporate award for Staples Inc for being fourth in the nation in business machines lease sales in less than 2 years. I got a taste for hard work and commission based work at a very young age, and I was motivated. That was 1996 and I had just turned 16 and got my drivers license, I lived on my own, home schooled myself, worked as much as I could with labor laws and school hours. I pushed myself through home schooling to complete early, just so I could work full time. Many moons later as I reflect, I am so excited about my future with a company that I can now take all of this hard knock experience and use it. I have successfully raised my two children. They're now adults, navigating their own lives and doing a pretty good job! I have taken years and years of "bottom up" work ethic and experience and put it to good work with everything I've put my mind to. I'm driven, ready and willing to accept the next challenge - Here's to what the future holds!
