Primary responsibilities/essential functions:• Currently serves as a liaison between Capital Group Companies, internal/external clients and vendors regarding system outages, system enhancements and delays.• Performs system maintenance by reviewing and completing requests to update accounts or settings in business systems in response to customer needs, system issues or projects. • Develops reports by gathering requirements, meeting with business requests to clarify the purpose of the report. Determines appropriate reporting method and documents, programs, and tests reports as needed. • Provides programming, reporting and analytical services to internal and external parties while using SQL, Monarch and other database technologies. • Proficiently participates in periodic production and statement audits. • Researches, troubleshoots or fulfils request regarding output for related products Participates in projects and enhancements:• Testing enhancements and system changes; coordinates among internal/external groups to test changes prior to implementation, also validates and documents results. • Effectively develops and manages a project timeline, creates and maintains an issues list, validates work is completed by different internal departments to ensure timely completion, and draft communication plans. • Consistently considers broader impacts of alternatives before completing related project work and escalates and coordinates with others as needed. Manages system problems:• Applies troubleshooting techniques to identify the root cause, scope of the issue, and assess risk. • Collaborates with others, to effectively document the issues, progress and resolutions. • Works with other internal groups and internal/external clients to identify and implement the necessary short-term and long-term solutions.• Continuously applies quality assurance checks and utilizes technical skills to ensure a high level of accuracy to mitigate business risk
