Pandemic and post-pandemic responsibilities include:--Pivoting- to transfer in-person programming into the virtual environment, including creating a training program to bring 200+ volunteer instructors up to Zoom speed to present more than 200 virtual courses to 1900 members, all senior citizens ranging in age from 50-97, resulting in the UD program becoming the largest online OLLI in the country.--Managing the transition back to in-person learning, including mounting an outdoor program of a dozen courses for the summer of 2021, creating strategies for monitoring COVID protocols for more than 700 members, researching and writing policies for virus-safe music performance instruction, and creating a program evaluation plan to drive mission-based program strategies.--Guiding the merger of branch location Curriculum and Academic Affairs committees into a cohesive statewide entity ensuring the academic rigor of course offerings.Pre-pandemic responsibilities, resuming as we return to in-person, learning include:--Schedule and coordinate 300+ course offerings each semester, including soliciting and reviewing course proposals, maintaining multiple databases, building the schedule, assigning rooms, and resolving course-related instructor and member issues.--Schedule and present the Friday Lecture Series in the spring and fall semesters.--Plan and present an Instructors’ Meeting and Breakfast each term.--Solicit, train, and support more than 300 volunteer instructors.--Serve as ex officio member of the Curriculum Committee and governing Council.--Manage audio-visual support team staff.--Assist in production of the course catalogs distributed to more than 6000 households in the greater Wilmington area, as well as other marketing publications.
