About Andrea Martin Guindal
Currently, I'm in the last phase of my PhD project, based on genetic improvement of oenological yeast, trying to provide some solution to industrial problems.I'm committed to my job and always open to learning. I consider myself an assertive person, with skills for teamwork and enthusiasm about facing new challenges. I enjoy communicating, I've participated in few divulgation events and I have some experience teaching in La Rioja University (UR).

My Ph.D. project tries to solve the alcoholic increase in wine, caused mainly by climate change. My work uses both aerobic fermentation (as a way to reconduct ethanol production) as looking for non-conventional yeast with lower ethanol yield. To obtain them I use adaptative laboratory evolution as a tool for genetic improvement.
