I am passionate about science (particularly public health and infectious disease research) the environment and humanitarian issues. I am extremely fortunate to have built a career born of these passions. I studied journalism and science at school but found my true calling to be translating science and innovation, particularly within the global healthcare field, to media and lay audiences. I am a senior-level communications professional with in-depth experience in marketing, public relations, media relations, community relations, patient engagement, advocacy, social and digital media, internal/employee communications, designing and delivering communication skills training sessions, and writing for print, web and multi-media platforms. I’ve been responsible for creating, implementing and measuring successful communication and patient engagement strategies and programs. During my career I have been at the forefront of communication trends and it has been my job to anticipate what is next and to advise my clients accordingly. I've garnered this experience working in global pharmaceutical, biotechnology, non-profit and academic organizations in the US, UK and around the world in locations as diverse as Shanghai and Surrey.
