Andrea is the Deputy Director for Global Response Medicine, a veteran-founded nonprofit dedicated to providing medical care and training in conflict and disaster zones. With a Master’s Degree as a Family Practice Nurse Practitioner and a post-master’s certification in Adult Gerontology Acute Care from the University of Miami, Andrea also holds a BA in Biology from Columbia University.Andrea’s clinical expertise lies in Emergency Medicine, with a particular focus on delivering healthcare in low-resource settings through humanitarian missions across multiple continents. She is a recognized speaker at both national and international academic conferences and has published for her work in the humanitarian field. Andrea actively contributes to various working groups aimed at enhancing emergency response and capacity building in high-risk, low-resource environments.Before transitioning into medicine and humanitarian aid, Andrea spent a decade in the NYC music industry. She served as Publicity Director for Bad Boy Records, and later as General Manager for a boutique production company led by award-winning music video director Benny Boom. Despite the seeming contrast between these fields, Andrea’s career is united by a proven ability to advance projects from concept to execution, demonstrate exceptional problem-solving skills, and lead diverse, multinational teams.
