At Grapl Inc., we're taking a graph-based approach to detection and response. I'm responsible for designing, maintaining, and implementing new features on our front-end codebase using React, D3, TypeScript, and GraphQL to query DGraph for data to visualize our graph. Currently, I'm learning and building micro-services with Rust.

As a member of the internal software team at Ice Energy, my role focused on improving and implementing new features for our proprietary systems. I developed and maintained services that communicate with our IoT devices, in addition to critical internal services that help support business requirements for sales, project management, and engineering teams. Working at a startup required a lot of fast-paced decision making, and changing requirements, which I managed with my team through an Agile process.I've worked primarily with Javascript (AngularJS) both on the frontend and via NodeJS, C# on .NET with the Entity Framework for our backend services, and interacting with a SQL database.

After spending two years in a database-driven role, I grew fascinated with learning full-stack web development after redesigning hedbergdatasystems.com using Wix, and attended General Assembly. I developed skills including: HTML/CSS, Javascript, ES6, Node/Express, jQuery, Python, Django, MongoDB, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, PostgreSQL, AWS, React, Secure authentication using BCrypt and JWT tokens in a collaborative project-oriented environment.My capstone project, Fileshare, is a file sharing system hosted on AWS written using JavaScript and JQuery to make AJAX requests to NodeJS RESTful Express service. I used PostgreSQL database to store user data, providing secure authentication using JWT Tokens and BCrypt to hash passwords. Account-holders upload files from their local filesystem to AWS S3 buckets and could later download files to their local machine. Users could share documents with non-users using UUID’s.I also won “Best Technical Innovation/Strategy” award with a team of developers and UX/UI designers to create a full-stack application to reconnect survivors of natural disasters with their loved ones in General Assembly's Hackathon!

During my time with Hedberg Data Systems, a subsidiary of Steelcase Inc., I used Magic/uniPaas, T-SQL, and Crystal Reports to help develop and test customizable software for the office furniture industry. With a team of six, my primary responsibilities were focused on globalization projects to help support translation of the Hedberg System for Steelcase Inc into multiple languages and currencies. I advocated for and lead the rewrite and redesign of hedbergdatasystems.com, which was successfully launched in its new form using WIX. I also spent three months in QA where I learned how to write and implement test plans completing testing efforts ahead of sprint deadlines.
