I have been a lawyer for fourteen years, and a business owner for the majority of my practice. I focus on business, construction, real estate, and insurance coverage matters. I started my career in litigation and appeals and added complementary transactional work to meet my clients’ needs.I have represented individuals and businesses in matters involving non-compete agreements, stock-buyout agreements, shareholder disputes, zoning, construction delay, theft by contractor, misrepresentation, breach of contract, negligent construction, and homeowners and commercial general liability insurance coverage. I have helped my clients negotiate favorable settlements prior to trial, but I do not shy away from trial, having tried numerous cases to judges, juries, and arbitrators in several jurisdictions. My clients have praised my polished legal writing, my poise at trial and in court, and my skill in drafting effective legal contracts.Before working as an attorney in private practice, I served as a law clerk for the Honorable Patricia D. McMahon (retired) in the Milwaukee County Circuit Court Civil Division, where I honed my research and writing skills and gained valuable insight in presenting winning arguments to judges. I graduated from Marquette University Law School, where I served as Managing Editor of the Marquette Intellectual Property Law Review. I earned my bachelor’s degree from the University of Wisconsin-Madison (go Badgers!).I am deeply involved in supporting my community. I am an advisory board member for the State Bar of Wisconsin Construction and Public Contract Law Section, where I co-chair the Diversity and Inclusion Committee. I am a member and past President of the Whitefish Bay Civic Foundation Board, leading many favorite community events. I also enthusiastically volunteer as a coach for Girls on the Run of Greater Milwaukee, and you will often find me running at local 5k, half-marathon, and marathon races.
