My tasks focus on support analysis and project work for the Environmental Mapping Domain at SIG. I'm responsible for providing technical support and coordination for different projects that include: Monitoring of forest disturbances in Nepal, Crop mapping in Cambodia, capacity building activities for the SERVIR-Amazonia hub through geospatial trainings, leading the remote sensing component of the TerraBio project in Brazil, and implementation of Collect Earth Online into workflows of Brazilian state government agencies, among others. We work collaboratively with different organizations such as SilvaCarbon, USAID, NASA, and universities.

I have worked as an expert developer for a World Bank project intended to support Forest Carbon Partnership Facility (FCPF)/Reducing emissions from deforestation and forest degradation (REDD+) countries to strengthen their Measurement, Reporting and Verification (MRV) systems and as a result facilitate the reception of results-based emission reductions finance. I was responsible for developing training resources with country-specific examples and step-by-step instructional materials to be used by the countries independently, without trainers’ assistance, on key operational geospatial processes used for activity data estimation with identified links to tools; and collecting already existing MRV-support resources.
