About Andrea O'Brien
My professional career has been dedicated to working with students and young professionals through Student Affairs and Higher Education, primarily in Graduate Admissions for the Health Professions, and previously, Residence Life. After working with undergraduate and health professions Admissions, I pivoted to Graduate Medical Education (GME). I have served as a professional advisor to student organizations, the Admissions liaison to the Graduate Program Committee for Biomedical Sciences, and the Admissions Consultant to Pre-Screening and Admissions Committees. I am actively involved in medical and dental school faculty interviewer training and serve as an interviewer for medical, dental, biomedical sciences, and physician assistant programs. I also work to develop outreach programs for undergrads and high school students, establish relationships and agreements for pipeline programs, and supervise the Still Scholars Early Acceptance Program for medical and dental programs. I have been fortunate to develop, present, and lead numerous programs and workshops at conferences, professional retreats, and seminars. I served as Vice Chair and Chair of the Council of Osteopathic Medical Admissions Officers through the American Association of Colleges of Osteopathic Medicine (AACOM) from 2021 - 2023.Throughout my career, I have immensely enjoyed working with college students and young professionals, witnessing their personal and professional growth through work experience. Residency And Fellowship Program Coordinator
