Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) working within the Emergency Room (ER) providing immediate medical care and support to patients in critical conditions. This position requires a high level of clinical expertise, quick decision-making, and the ability to work effectively within a fast-paced and dynamic healthcare environment. Requirements: Conduct rapid assessments of patients' conditions upon arrival in the ER. Prioritize patients based on the severity of their conditions, initiating appropriate medical interventions. Collaborate with the medical team to ensure timely and accurate patient triage. Administer basic life support (BLS) techniques, including CPR, airway management, and defibrillation as necessary.Assist with advanced life support (ALS) procedures, such as administering medications, intubation, and monitoring cardiac rhythms. Initiate IV lines and administer fluids or medications under the supervision of a physician or nurse. Provide continuous monitoring of patients' vital signs, EKG rhythms, and oxygen saturation levels. Perform wound care, splinting, and other necessary procedures to stabilize patients.Assist in maintaining patients' comfort and safety during their stay in the ER. Document accurate and comprehensive patient information, including assessment findings, interventions, and outcomes, in electronic medical records. Ensure all documentation is clear, concise, and compliant with hospital policies and legal standards. Maintain and troubleshoot medical equipment, ensuring proper functioning and cleanliness. Restock supplies and medications in treatment areas to ensure availability during emergencies. Advocate for patients' needs and ensure their rights are respected throughout their care in the ER. Provide emotional support and reassurance to patients and their families during stressful situations.
