The CyberChallenge is an annual event organized by the CINI (Consorzio Interuniversitario Nazionale per l'Informatica) and the Cybersecurity National Lab in collaboration with the ACN (Agenzia per la Cybersicurezza Nazionale), focusing on cybersecurity. As a member of the UCBM (Università Campus Bio-Medico) team, I had the opportunity to participate in this prestigious competition. Having successfully cleared the local rounds, I advanced to the national finals, where I engaged in an Attack-Defense Capture the Flag (CTF) event held in the ONU ITCILO campus of Turin. Beyond the competition itself, I acquired valuable practical knowledge through an accompanying course, including the following areas: Understanding of networking principles, along with Firewalls, IPS, and IDS systems. Emphasis on web security and its various aspects. Exploration of binary exploitation and reverse engineering techniques. Study of cryptography and cryptographic protocols.
