I worked in a microbiology research lab under Dr. Louis Tisa focusing on the rock-dwelling bacterial family Geodermatophilaceae during my junior and senior year at the University of New Hampshire. In the Tisa lab, I worked on imaging Geodermatophilaceae isolates on rock surfaces using SEM. I also wrote a senior thesis focused on evaluating variations in metabolic activity of Blastococcus, a genus of Geodermatophilaceae, on different rock surfaces.

This project was presented at the UNH Undergraduate Research Conference in April 2023.
