• Provide direction and oversight to a team of 17 undergraduate advisors, one assistant director, and 15 peer advisors serving over 5000 students in the School of Engineering. •Consistently evaluate and plan to meet student needs; collaborating with cross-campus advising teams and utilizing current research, trends, and best practices. Reduced student to advisor caseloads from 950:1 to 500:1 by advocating for and hiring more advising staff.• Established a welcoming and inclusive service model with multiple modes of delivery and strategic branding and outreach of our services. Efforts resulted in a 63% increase in the number of students advised through our office.• Implemented new transfer student enrollment/credit articulation process that reduced time spent by two hours per student. New process included meeting with every transfer student over the summer to encourage early relationship building, appropriate course selection, and to welcome new students to UCSC and Baskin.• Created early intervention outreach program for first-year students who were not passing after the third week of the quarter. Effort included complete curriculum re-structure of STS100 to better suit the needs of first-year students.• Led the design, development, roll-out, and student adoption of the college’s most effective mobile app, a robust source of campus information and engagement tool.
