For as long as I can remember I have had a passion for helping others. Through my early work in public relations and project management, I developed a strong desire to make things happen and to make a difference in society. As I grew in my career, I realized the importance of having a positive impact on youth, as they are our future leaders. This helped me realize that my place was in education, where I could truly make a difference in the lives of others. I am a first generation college graduate who has spent the past 25 years working towards creating an educational path for underrepresented students through practice and research. My desire to go into higher education and variety of experiences have led me to a place where I have a great opportunity to work with others to help our future leaders further their own scholarship to create impact on a larger scale. It is never enough and together we can make a difference.
