Solo founded and bootstrapped a 501(c)(6) non-profit supporting Ruby language open source. Raised hundreds of thousands of dollars annually while managing all staff and OSS developers.

Working to improve the Ruby open source ecosystem, and increase Mavenlink's usage and contributions to open source. Currently focused on Bundler and extracting reusable code that Mavenlink has already written.

Building artisanal hand-crafted websites using Ember.js and Ruby on Rails.

Single-handedly designed, implemented, deployed the myPlex web site and API, providing automatic server discovery, home video sharing across the internet, and a media queue like Instapaper for video. Handled all production configuration, deployment, scaling, and other ops from 0 users to 150,000 users.

Helped maintain EY AppCloud, a large project written mostly using Merb. Started and developed the engineyard gem, a set of command line tools to manage and interact with AppCloud. Joined the Bundler core team, and worked with the Rails core team towards shipping Bundler 1.0 with Rails 3.

Maintained and extended the primary application, written in Ruby on Rails. Developed an extensive new frontend to the application using jQuery. Hand-implemented HTML and CSS from designer mockups. Installed in-house tools for the engineering team to use, including CCrb, gitosis, and redmine. Helped develop open-source tools for company communication and git workflow, including Wesabot, git-tools, and git-commit-notifier.

Worked with various clients to design, develop, and deploy Rails applications. Projects include solo development of an application for ordering food (deliverywiki.com) and working with a team to develop a social networking site aimed at religious groups (circlebuilder.com).

Developed and deployed multiple Ruby on Rails applications for ReziTech’s clients, including a web storefront for selling mailers and flyers to realtors and a payroll management application.

Set up from scratch and administered an Active Directory-based lab of 15 Windows XP computers and an LDAP-based lab of 10 Debian Linux computers. Purchased, racked, configured, and administered the department's Xserve G5 server, including student shell accounts and services including MySQL, PostgreSQL, PHP, and Ruby on Rails hosting.

Performed troubleshooting and maintenance on an ActiveDirectory-backed network of approximately 75 student use computers and 25 staff computers, including one complete replacement of each machine.

Designed, developed, and deployed a Rails application to provide online access to a conference hosted at Oxford and Cambridge Universities.
