Healing and Discovery Foundation is a non-profit dedicated to bring emotional education and emotional tools to children and adults in underserved communities As a means to emotion regulation, we as an organization teach a technique called The Paradox Process. It is an innovative feeling-management-system designed to identify, communicate and change negative feelings and perceptions. It is for those who's pain, fear, guilt, shame, etc. have them in a holding pattern and they can't seem to move forward. It is dramatically effective at bringing the conscious mind to the present moment by eliminating negative emotions from the past,and clearing anxieties and worries about the future.Paradox Process Facilitator, Andrea Roberts, has studied, trained and continues to hone her emotional body of knowledge under the careful eye of Executive Director, Thomas M. Jones, for the past 14 years. Andrea launched her pursuit of The Paradox Process in 1998 as a client of Jones. She was intrigued, inspired and motivated by the major changes it created in her own life. This lead her to pursue training with Jones to be certified in 2006 to teach the Process. She continues to study under him today, mastering her knowledge of emotions and teaching clients to create an objective relationship with their feelings using the tools of The Paradox Process. After earning a Bachelor’s Degree, from The University of Wisconsin, she obtained her Master’s Degree from Brooklyn College.
