Andreas was in charge to deliver major infrastructure projects with special focus on tunnel design in Australia, Singapore and New Zealand. The projects he was leading the tunnel design include:• Airport Link and Northern Busway Project, Brisbane, QLD, AustraliaTender and detailed design for an approximately 4.8 billion dollar PPP tunnel project, together with Parsons Brinckerhoff-Arup JV for the Thiess-John Holland JV. The project includes over 15km of road tunnel that are to be constructed by a range of methods including roadheader, drill & blast and TBM's. The mined tunnels comprise of two-lane up to five-plus lane tunnels. The TBM tunnels (approx 1.8km) are two-lane tunnels with an approximate diameter of 12.5m. A two-lane 14m wide busway tunnel (NB) runs close to and above the mined Airport Link tunnel sections.• Downtown Line Stage 1 – Advanced Consultancy C9101, SingaporeDetailed design for mined tunnel sections beneath Bugis Station, Queen Street and Beach Road. C9101 runs along Rochor Road from the TBM launch shaft for Contract 902 tunnels south of Beach Road to the new DTL Bugis Station, and continues under the existing Bugis Station to the end of Stage 1 immediately north of Queen Street. The tunnel is approximately 650m and is located mainly in marine and fluvial clays• Orakei Main Sewer – Hobson Diversion, Auckland, New ZealandDetailed design of segmental tunnel lining for three kilometre long sewer tunnel with an internal diameter of 3.7m and an overburden varying between 25m and 80m. The sewer tunnel was constructed by means of an earth pressure balance TBM to allow excavation in varying ground conditions such as East Coast Bays Formation and Old Alluvium.

Andreas was in charge to deliver major infrastructure projects with special focus on tunnel design in Singapore. The project he was leading the tunnel design include:• Jurong Rock Cavern at Banyan Basin – Phase 1, Access Shafts and Start-Up Galleries, Jurong Island, SingaporeApproximately 100m deep access shafts with an internal diameter of about 21.5m where the upper part lies in soft ground and lower 60m are located in rock including start-up galleries with cross sections between 100m2 and 179m2 for future hydrocarbon storage caverns.

Andreas was in charge to deliver major infrastructure projects with special focus on tunnel design in Australia and the Middle East. The projects he was leading the tunnel design include:• Dubai Metro Project, Contract DM001, Phase 1 – Red Line, United Arab EmiratesDetailed design of of Metro Rail (Phase 1 – Red Line) consisting of 47.4km of elevated track with 25 overground stations and 4.7km of subterranean track with 4 underground stations in sand and and/or sandstone in urban densely populated areas. Single bored double track tunnel with an external diameter of 9.56m.• New MetroRail City Project, Contract 27/03, Perth, WA, AustraliaMetroRail consisting of 700m twin bored underground rail tunnel, 900m of open dive and cut & cover sections including two underground stations and launching and retrieval shaft in soft clay in urban densely populated areas.Andreas was part of the design team to deliver major infrastructure projects worldwide. He was involved in the following projects:• National Road Tunnel ‘Galleria di TORS’ of road S.S. No. 355 ‘Della Val Degano’ – Variante di TORS from Km 20+815 to km 23+160, ItalyDetailed design of road tunnel in hard rock constructed by means of drill and blast excavation method.• Brenner Railway / Munich –Verona, Lower Inn Valley Railway - Section H5 ‘Tunnel Stans-Terfens’, AustriaDetailed design of 8,500m long NATM tunnel. The tunnel includes a 2,300m triple-track cross section of approx. 180m2 to 200m2 and a double-track cross section varying between 110m2 and 125m2.• Metro Delhi, Metro Corridor Contract MC1B, Chawri Bazar Station, IndiaDetailed design of station complex consisting of two large shafts with a cross section of approx. 1,600m2. Parallel running NATM platform tunnels of 2x350m in length with a cross section of approx. 74m2 in urban densely populated area within mixed soils.
