During my studies in the Experimental School of the University of Athens, I developed an aptitude for Mathematics and Physics. I participated in mathematical contests of Hellenic Mathematical Society and I managed to be in the top-20 of all the participants. At NTUA, I acquired a strong background in the fundamentals of mathematics, naval architecture, marine engineering and maritime economics, such as applied Mathematics, Ship operability, Maritime economics and transportation, Technological economics, Assessing the environmental aspects of ships' operation, Risk assessment techniques, Technologies to optimize maritime operational safety. I developed an appreciation of financial issues by attending seminars and courses on Ship and Fleet Operations. I also came in touch with statistical programmes like SPSS. Furthermore, another part that was taught in the period of the above studies was the evaluation of the cost of shipbuilding and its period of depreciation. My aim is to get involved with the energy efficiency field of the Shipping Industry. Specialties: Fully aware of the stochastic processes and of the meaning of risk assessment. Monitoring of ships' performance.
