Divisional - / BI Programme Manager of a complex, multi-site, multi-supplier, multi-cultural programme / initiative. The programme comprises of an end-to-end service model namely:- The Architecture, Design and Development of a comprehensive, standardised Business Intelligence (BI) Solution within the Telecommunication’s industry. The solution contains the information of all core Telecommunication modules as well as its support processes / functions, e.g. Finance, HR, Customer Care. The BI Solution furthermore provides the supporting information and exploitation capabilities for decision-making at executive, tactical and operational levels.- The Deployment and Implementation of the BI Solution to 22 countries across Africa and the Middle East.- The training, knowledge transfer and enablement of the client’s user base.- The Support and Maintenance of the implemented Solution based on various support models (1st -, 2nd -, 3rd Line, Managed Services; remote or onsite) in alignment with the client’s circumstances and specific needs.- The Release Management function to ensure that enhancements to - / new releases of the solution are appropriately ‘packaged’ and released in a controlled manner.- Ensuring that adequate IT infrastructure (hardware, software) and capacity is provided to enable the necessary functions. - The continuous repositioning and restructuring of the programme’s staff complement to achieve synergy, skills transfer and maximum optimisation across consultants based at different locations.- The ongoing monitoring and re-assessment of the Financial Model to ensure feasibility of this significant strategic initiative.

Assigned as Project Manager for the Channel MIS project. The goals of this initiative were to a. Cater for the transition from the existing MIR system to an alternate sales source system, and b. Enhance efficiencies & information delivery by establishing an integrated Retail Affluent Channel MIS for PFA, BD, PWM, Namibia, AFD, and GDS (OMA).The objectives of this project were to: Achieve the above-mentioned goals. Establish a common infrastructure and platform for both PFA and BD. The merge of the PFA & BD teams makes no sense otherwise.  Decommission Focus, Matrix and re-create Voyager. Deploy the new MIS environment on a SAS v9 platform (end to end). Create an environment with minimal IT dependence. Enable increased productivity by minimising manual intervention in the preparation of MI reporting.

Assigned as IT Programme/Account Manager in order to implement an appropriate IT environment in support of the Westminster Motor Insurance Association (WMIA) operations, a London based niche insurer. The programme entailed establishing the necessary IT infrastructure (server hosting, LAN, WAN, desktop), setting up e-mail, developing and implementing an underwriting, claims and accounting application, publishing a web site, providing the General Ledger and Accounts Payable (JDE) modules, the design and implementation of a Management Information solution, and continuous leadership of – and training to WMIA staff. The responsibilities varied between Project Management (IT and Business), Programme Management, IT Management and Account Management and also involved assistance to other Santam international interests in London and Dublin. The above-mentioned role/s have required regular interaction, being at WMIA for one week every two months (for the last 3-4 years).Functionally reporting into the Project Office (IT) resulted in being assigned to other complex projects and participation in establishing the Project Support Unit (Business).
