I have worked at the Department of Health since 1 October 2011 and is currently still employed and my duties performed as stated below:- Receiving and sorting of source documents for payments.- Capture and authorize of payments- Calculate and prepare quarterly cash on hand and preparation of quarterly cash forecast requests.- Processing of payments made to NPO’s and monthly reconciliation.- Managing of the petty cash.- Compile and management of the asset register.- Calculate, compile and capture VAT on Goods & Services- Completion of VAT 201.- Monitor and co-ordinate replies to Audit and Internal Control Queries- Preparation of Audit Financial Statements.- Monitor, control and report on expenditure, income and budget of the institutions.- Control and analyse of monthly AFS Disclosure Reporting.- Ability to compile, interpret and analyse reports.- Processing of Journals to correct and allocate expenditure.- Ensuring budgeting control by analyzing monthly reports and actively engaging in financial meetings.- Managing budget allocation of the institutions, as well the monitoring of expenditure and revenue.- Budgetary and expenditure forecasting of the institution and various sub-departments.- Compilation of costing reports for management in order to assist with decision-making.- Contract Management.- Prepare expenditure report for different projects and conduct regular checks on spending, follow up with Project Managers to ensure budget is spent.- Report on Expenditure and spending trends to Head Office and NGO’s- Production of relevant, timeous and accurate operational and business reports.- Compilation, interpretation and analyzing of financial reports.- Assist with financial planning, budgeting and forecasting, manages and monitors financial risk, preparing financial reports.- Efficient computer literacy in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, Access and PowerPoint) and executing reports utilizing these applications and also proven advanced computer skills and proficiency with system applications.- Utilization of BAS (Basic Accounting System) and LOGIS (Logistical Information System) for payments and procurement of goods and services.- Effective budget monitoring and expenditure control.- Extensive knowledge and experience of revenue, expenditure and creating of Excel-spreadsheets, pivot tables and databases.- Database manipulation and quality control of data obtained from feeder systems
