With over 25 years of experience I feel like a venerable oak in the derivative landscape that has witnessed the evolution of structured products from a barely discernable game trail to an Autobahn! The acorn I was in 1997 had barely sprouted roots when I advised and traded exotic OTC options (hello, down&in puts...) for UHNWI. Barely a year later, I dug my roots deeper and founded the structured product desk in a private bank in Zurich. The soil proved to be fertile, the business growing at a faster pace than the OTC options that predated their securitized cousins, to the point where I decided that my main career stem, my trunk, would be the planting and growing of structured products. I wrote numerous articles that were published in German, French and English journals and magazines. Since 2021 I manage an AMC of structured products. Some ramifications led me into advisory, which is a natural evolution when you structure cross-assets.My passion in structured products led me to write book: How to invest in Structured Products, which was published by Wiley&Sons in 2009. I refer to it as my fourth child. As the words had spilled easily on the screen, I felt the urge to write again, but in another genre: Fantasy / Adventure. It's in the making.
