Life is all about making the most of the path you're on. My path has been winding and scenic, and I couldn't be more excited to share it with you! In reviewing my work experience and skills, it may be difficult to find a theme, so I'm here to help out. Here are 4 things you need to know about me:1. *At my core, I’m a project manager. It's at the sweet spot of my skills and interests.* While past job titles are diverse, the common theme in all of my roles has been the management of projects of varying types. Whether planning and executing a large golf tournament, renovating our master bathroom, building our two-story covered porch at home, onboarding a client implementation on a fraud monitoring tool, or - in my most recent traditional project management job - coordinating the implementation of complex POS solutions, my skills lie in seeing the big-picture and in incrementally managing that vision down to the small tasks. 2. *I believe clear and organized communication can solve every problem.* I’m a big believer in structured communication, and try to incorporate it into both my personal and professional life. I’m always trying to trim down time requirements, hence why I’m publishing this information as a list. 3. *I am a life-long learner, and I love adding new skills.* This not only includes professional skills, but it also includes skills outside my career as a project manager. I constantly endeavor to be as efficient as possible - learning shortcuts in Excel, new leadership or project management tactics, and better methods for communication, but I’m also learning how to code in my spare time, and I continue to teach golf to keep up with those products and instructional strategies. 4. *I approach everything in life with humor and perspective.* While the projects I work with are incredibly important - to me, to my employer, and to the client - this doesn't mean the team I lead cannot enjoy a close working relationship, complete with humor and personality. I believe that people who form genuine connections will always do more to help each other succeed than those who treat the project like a clinical exercise. My experience, my commitment to getting the job done, my humility and willingness to listen and learn from others, and my positive attitude toward overcoming challenges is what makes me an asset in any role.
