After the sale of the company, we set up independent engineering offices worldwide. I was responsible for founding, setting up and establishing the companies, as well as recruiting and connecting the organizations to the parent company in Germany. Countless job interviews taught me languages and cultures, and I still benefit from this and my global network in China, India, Brazil, Mexico, Korea, USA and Japan.

The company name bears my initials and was founded as a one-man show. I started writing software for welding systems with robot support. This quickly developed into a team of engineers who planned complex systems for all car manufacturers and their suppliers. It included engine production, gearbox assembly, body-in-white systems and assembly lines as well as transportation systems. ABplan became the market leader in Europe in the 1990s and over the course of time reached over 100 employees, mainly engineers and software developers.In 1998, I successfully sold the company to a group in the USA and we began to set up branches wherever there was an automotive industry...... China, India, Brazil, Mexico, Korea! This enabled us to design complex systems around the clock and around the globe and to put them into operation worldwide. Engineers from these countries were trained at the headquarters in Germany. ABplan was a success story and countless engineers are still benefiting from our successful path today.
