For the summer term 2021 I worked as substitute Professor for Environmental Systems Modelling at University of Osnabrück, since November 2021 I'm appointed as full professor in the same field.

Andreas works as ecological modeller at the research institute Alterra. His research interest is modelling of chemical stress ecology. He is responsible for several research projects in the context of environmental risk assessment of chemicals, amongst others about modelling toxicokinetic-toxicodynamic processes, population dynamics and ecological interactions under the impact of chemicals, but also about taxonomy- and traits-based identification of chemical effects on communities by multivariate statistics.

The work as PostDoc in the EU Marie Curie program CREAM focused on methods and consequences of bringing aquatic population effect modelling to a landscape scale and to couple them with spatio-temporal exposure patterns of chemicals. Website: http://cream-itn.eu/projects/wp-1/scales-4
