Process Engineering Manager For Automotive Lidar
Current
Process Engineer, For Automotive Lidar
Process Engineer, High Volume Optical Systems
In this role, I managed the review and editing of quality documentation relating to manufacturing processes and control documents. I qualified automation processes for capital equipment on the assembly line and on China-based sites. Held responsibility for all analytical, troubleshooting, data acquisition, CpK, and GR&R efforts, including presenting results and findings to senior leaderships and outlining forward-thinking pathways. During my tenure, I was recognized for my work in designing and successfully executing optimization DOE on capital equipment and also consistently reviewed and analyzed reliability test results and conducted experiments to identify trends before subsequently making improvements that collectively transformed results in order of magnitude. I created detailed testing plans and related prioritization structures, DOEs, and SPC elements and routinely collaborated with teams of 3-8 process engineers per project in global settings.
Systems Engineer – Laser Scanning, Projecting, & Etching Systems
I was recruited to this role to design and engineer the fixture for automatic verification of the galvanometer linearity specification with a key emphasis on improving production throughput by ten times the average. In doing so, I designed the fixture for in-process verification while simultaneously automizing a previously manual procedure to further boost efficiency and effectiveness. I also successfully modeled magnetic properties and integrated improvements on a state-of-the-art galvanometer construction model to increase torque by more than 8%. Throughout my tenure, I was recognized for creating numerous solutions during tenure, including off-the-shelf components for final design of the automatic verification fixture, additional galvanometer design improvements, and other key work.
Test Engineer, Chemical & Biological Defense Via Solidus Technical Solutions
I was promoted to this role to conduct measurements of the optical properties of live agent bio-aerosols in support of remote bio-detection data collected by the United States Army Edgewood Chemical Biological Center. I operated, maintained, troubleshooted, and upgraded system hardware and software and analyzed a diverse range of data. During this time, I was also selected to oversee, update, and improve a custom chemical aerosol ultraviolet Raman spectrometer and also proposed structural and update elements of the experiment’s gas handling and particle dissemination systems, among other key work.
Analyst Via Kwajalein Range Services
In this role, I provided critical support to the optics team in the testing, upgrading, and validation of infrared and visual sensors at the Ronald Reagan Ballistic Missile Defense Test Site in the Marshall Islands. I designed and upgraded the source code for the optical sensor data processing chain and formulated algorithms to enable the accurate and precise processing of data from numerous sensors. I was also recognized for assisting the optics team in upgrading, testing, and validating infrared and visual seniors at the Ronald Reagan Ballistic Missile Defense Test Site (RTS) in the Marshall Islands, among other critical work.
