Expert of the Swiss Academy of Technical Science. From 2008-2022 he was Principal Innovation Manager and Academic Partnership Developer within the Applied Materials and Systems Research organization of BASF and Liaison Officer of BASF Schweiz AG.with special focus on ETH, EPFL and EMPA. His task was setting up proof of concepts in high risks and high reward projects together with academic and industrial partners along the value chain. He has also become co-founder of internal start-up’s and co-founder of a co-creation unit (STEP2) at the NEST unit of EMPA.Since 2023 he is acting as NEST partner at EMPA to shape sustainable innovations in he building sector. These activities are very much synergistic with his other position as president of the "National Technology Network Innovative Surfaces"
