Since I was a child I have been fascinated about all kinds of films and stories. Whenthe first videogames entered my life I could fully immerse myself into these virtualworlds. But just experiencing them was not enough for me - I wanted to design suchworlds and stories by myself. So I grabbed myself a pencil and some paper andstarted drawing.In 2013 I took the next step and began my studies. I focused a lot on drawing andpainting both with traditional and digital media. During that time I learned a greatdeal of anatomy, color, perspective and composition. The skill I acquired during thattime helped me out a lot while working on my bachelor thesis - I illustrated the shortstory “The Colour from out of Space” written by H.P. Lovecraft, an author I’ve beenfascinated with for a long time. I visualized various elements from the story: Not onlystorytelling images, but also props and set pieces.As part of my studies I did an internship as an environment concept artist at Deck 13,a videogame company with location in Frankfurt. While working there I created manyprops for the city environment of the upcoming hardcore action RPG “The Surge 2”. Asthe game has not been released yet I’m not allowed to share my drafts - however I canshow them to you on request.
