Develop and deliver Privacy as a Service to up and coming upstarts as-well as to large multinationals.

As the compliance and regulatory professional within the Storytel Group’s legal team operating in then around 20 globally, I worked in all fields of data protection laws and compliance areas like anti-corruption and bribery. It was a broad role and I also worked closely with the functions responsible for information security and IT. I was designated DPO for the Storytel Group in the EU and which meant that I was applying the GDPR, the E-privacy regulation and the national EU/EEA data protection laws to the company’s operations. In this role I carried out all the tasks of a DPO in accordance with the GDPR. I also acted as Privacy Advisor and provided counsel and support throughout the company in all market as far as possible. I initiated and created a compliance program and drafted the company’s anti-corruption and bribery guidelines. I provided privacy training as part of a larger compliance onboarding training program and as well as other privacy awareness activities. To summarize; I performed all privacy related tasks that arised in the company including identifying risks and areas of improvement and establish necessary relations within the company to handle and mitigate risks. The working language was English, and the position provided me with experience in working in a modern truly multicultural organization and cross-border environment. As a member of the legal team I also reviewed and took part in contract negotiations in general.

Assisted colleagues at any level of the Council in legal matters to ensure the European Social Fund 2014-2020 is implemented in compliance with all EU- and national regulatory frameworks. Also taking lead in matters within the field of law and judiciary such as represent the Council in Swedish courts.Designated Data Protection Officer of the ESF-Council under European General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). Also taking active role to implement necessary changes, raise awareness within organisation on privacy data protection compliance.

Took part in the Commission's Stagiaire-programme with the Directorate-General for Trade. I worked with and learned about trade aspects of Intellectual Property Rights and Public Procurement in bilateral relationships and within the framework of multilateral cooperation such as WIPO and the WTO Agreement on Public Procurement (GPA). I gained an understanding of the work and interactions of the EU institutions.
