Growing up in a perfect, lower-middle-class family, I learned a lot about the challenge behind the monthly bills. The small carpentry of my father seemed to be the place where he was able to solve all problems with his own hands. I had the privilege to visit high-school and study law. After running my own little law firm for 3 months, I became - by accident - the lawyer of a great sportsman and person, Michael Schumacher. I was responsible for trademark issues, licensing and some of the groups’ investments (2000-2004). Later, I worked in the center of the 2005-2007 financial bubble, we built huge numbers out of no value - 40 Mio. EUR media fund, an IPO, 400 employees worldwide - exploded in 2008.Looking for real value and purpose, the best friend on earth, Hajir Tahassori, introduced me to the business of his father and to the ongoing change of the political world-map. While trading with medical equipment in Iraq and Iran, we felt the sustainable value of training and know-how exchange (2012). But why we had to cover the costs for 28 training courses and workshops, even though the outcome for all participants in the North of Iraq was just brilliant? Questioning the current economic and financial system, which is rewarding dubious profits with additional creation of debt-based money, Hajir initiated the vision and concept behind DORIUM (2014). Value and purpose-driven, decentralized money creation based on common shared values. The last 5 years we had to learn a lot. Some old teammates are still with us, some new members joined the team and are giving traction to the project. Today, as a proud father of 2 perfect daughters, I'm back in the carpentry of my father, now building wooden DORIUM simulations. But after I have visited 50+ countries and have met 500+ people at their home: I'm sure there is enough talent, experience and good will to overcome poverty, global inequality and other urgent challenges. All it takes is a global agreement and a solid, economic toolset.
