Andreas Loucaides is the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of IGI (UK), with over 40 years of experience in the London insurance and reinsurance market. Joining IGI in 2015, Andreas has been the CEO of International General Insurance (IGI) UK, a global specialist commercial insurer and reinsurer that underwrites a diverse portfolio of specialty lines. Based in London, Andreas has been a core part of the executive team that has successfully developed IGI into an international business and the first Middle Eastern insurance and reinsurance company to be listed on Nasdaq. Andreas has a strong track record of business transformation and delivering sustainable growth and profit through a deep understanding of underwriting and empowering high-performing teams. Andreas began his career in the insurance industry in 1971, joining syndicate 702 at Lloyd's in 1981 which was sold to Markel in 2000. He later founded a start-up insurance company, PRI Group Plc in 2002 as CEO. Following the profitable sale to Brit Holdings, Andreas joined Catlin in 2004 as the CEO, of the UK Insurance Co. In 2008, he joined Jubilee Group at Lloyd’s as the CEO, overseeing the sale to Ryan Specialty Group in 2011. In 2012, Andreas joined Lloyd’s Syndicate 2526 assisting the sale to AmTrust and supporting AmTrust in the purchase of Sagicor at Lloyd’s.
