Founded in 2004 by His Highness Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al-Thani, the Emir of Qatar, Aspire Academy, is a strategic business unit of Aspire Zone Foundation and trains and educates Qatar’s most talented students with proven sport potential. The initial scope of my position involved dealing with media related issues such as planning and moderating press conferences and panel discussions, coordinating and managing content for publications, the website and press releases; preparing editorials and statements; cooperating with the other business units of Aspire Zone; conducting interviews for the TV-magazine that is aired nationwide on Alkass Sports Channels and supporting the great number of international events that are either hosted (such as “Aspire4Sport” and the “Aspire Academy Global Summit”) or supported (such as “Leaders Under40” and “International Football Arena”) by Aspire Academy. I was also in charge of the content-side of the "Aspire Tech Conference" in London in 2017 and in charge of coordinating TV-productions with partner clubs in Belgium, Spain and Austria.In 2018, my role was upgraded to „Marketing Lead Officer“ and the scope shifted from executing the marketing and communication’s plan and leading the organization‘s digital transformation to strategic planning including dealing with matters such as developing an effective corporate communication strategy, working on the business plan and budgeting. Furthermore, I was in charge of planning the department's annual budget, reporting the department's KPIs to Aspire Zone Foundation and overseeing the SBUS's corporate publishing projects. In addition to classical PR, the company offered corporate publishing and producing content for different kinds of publications, media training and support of media at events. The company has also built up work-related co-operations with football clubs, player agencies and professional athletes in Austria and abroad.Furthermore, SPORTPLUSPR had a number of non-sport-related clients from the private sector that hired the agency for consulting, content management and production as well as planning and executing media and marketing related activities.I was part of the company‘s founding team and managed the agency‘s business until I decided to take on my next job in Doha, Qatar.

At the time I held this position, the women’s section of the Austrian football club LUV Graz competed with teams in the first (Austrian Bundesliga), third and fourth Austrian division. The tasks included officially putting a sports philosophy into place, representing the club at league meetings and public events, decision-making of all sport relevant matters such as appointing coaches and staff in accordance with the chair, building up international co-operations, managing transfers, scouting, organising training camps and scrimmage games.During that period I also scouted overseas and managed to sign Canadian, Welsh national team players to the club as well as several players that successfully played in US-college-leagues like NCAA Division 1. Under my management, a number of young players, that later went on to represent Austria and play in big European leagues, were signed and made the successful transition to the first team. The biggest sporting achievement was reaching the semi-finals of the Austria cup in the 2012/13 season.Furthermore, I handled all media and marketing related activities of the club, establishing close relationships to local media and building up a team responsible for communication, marketing and team management.

Arsenal Football Club is an English soccer club that plays in the Premier League. In combination with being a Foreign Language Assistant at Notre Dame RCG School I coached two girls’ teams (Year 8 and Year 9) of the Arsenal FC Double Club-program (CSR initiative). The ‘double’ experience began with pupils in primary schools, local to Highbury and the Arsenal Training Centre in Hertfordshire, using soccer and Arsenal related resources to improve literacy skills for 45 minutes in the classroom. This was followed by a soccer coaching session with an Arsenal in the Community coach for another 45 minutes– mirroring the two halves of a soccer match.
