My responsibilities include performance analysis and optimization of scientific applications and benchmarks, porting existing applications to run on GPUs, developing tooling, and providing support and training around the HPE Cray Programming Environment.

I contributed to emmtrix Parallel Studio and its parallelizing source-to-source compiler. I worked on GPU offloading support, pragma-based code transformations, task scheduling, and static performance analysis, among other things.

Most of my work revolved around:• Parallel programming models and runtime systems for multi- and manycore machines• Task parallelism, task scheduling, and load balancing techniques• Efficient, low-overhead execution of fine-grained parallelismA special interest of mine was unconventional processor architectures.
