Managerial duties include supervision of design staff on technical issues, determining resource needs, scheduling resources and maintaining budgets. Design and documentation including checking of designers and graduate engineers work; supervision, contract administration, quality assurance, design certification and fee proposals.Technical duties include providing technical structural input and/or assistance to a variety of projects ranging from residential through to commercial construction and civil structures, including access chambers, culverts, weirs and bridges.

Design and Documentation of Structural Projects including load evaluation, design pertaining to current Australian Standards and The Building Code of Australia, design, documentation and final documentation checking, followed-up generally with on-site inspections. Assistance and technical matters was only sought when required or provided as necessary by Director.
