About Andreas Ritter

I spent most of my professional career in the automotive supplier industry in several leading positions as systems engineer and project manager, successfully coordinating international teams.To give my professional life more purpose, I decided in 2021 to change my career path. I want to actively contribute to the transformation of the energy production towards renewable energy and therefore enrolled in September of 2021 in the post-degree study program “Wind Energy Technology and Management” at the University of Oldenburg, which I will complete end of June 2022.In this program we had to apply what we learned in the lectures about all aspects of developing a wind park in a realistic project, from start to finish.Since January of 2023 I am occupied at ABO Wind as a Project Leader for Wind Energy Projects. So far I worked on several acquisition projects and filed 2 BImSchG applications for Wind Parks in Westmecklenburg with very limited additional claims to reach completion.I am open for a new challenge in the Wind Energy Field.

    Since January of 2023, I am working as a wind project leader for ABO Energy in Rostock. I designed several wind farms using the company's own Q-GIS extension. I contacted the owners to secure the contracts for these wind farms. This included presenting the projects at community meetings, as well as various discussions with mayors.I also initiated and filed 2 BImSchG applications for wind farms, where the contracts had mostly already been secured. There I coordinated all external experts and the internal work and submitted the applications in continuous and very good cooperation with the approval authorities, which resulted in only minimal additional requests.When submitting the BImSchG documents as a folder and on CD, the StALU Schwerin positively noted that in order to simplify and accelerate their internal processing, I had also submitted the documents completely in their own software ELiA MV.

    In this 11 month post-graduate program the curriculum follows the entire process of developing a wind park, starting from the wind assessment, followed by the park layout in windPRO, the negotiations of the lease, wind turbine purchase and the maintenance contracts, the BImSchG application, the financing and the operations management. All technical details, like aerodynamics or the electrical system and infrastructure, are covered in depth in the modules taught by wind energy experts from the field. The classes were accompanied by a project to develop an entire wind park, where I acted as the project leader, but also took on the park layout, the financing and the risk evaluation.
