Included in this is also all the EDI connections in and out of Movex which stand for about 95% of Ovakos entire EDI portfolio towards customers. In my role I cover management and governance of Movex and it´s EDI, implementation of new EDI, act hands on as Helpdesk and support, have budget responsibility, ensures quality of functionality and services, drive software development together with my developers in line with business needs and/or application quality needs, document and write specifications. This means I get to be many roles: a solution engineer and project leader, supplier and contract handler, resource manager and purchaser, educator and helpdesk/back-office support, application specialist and to some extent, a technician. Most satisfactory parts of the job are working with people - users, process owners, customers, suppliers and partners etc. - and solving problems and needs. Coming up with the answer or a design to a problem is always satisfying, and the tougher the problem, the greater the satisfaction. It´s the same with identifying needs and what can best be described as the need behind the need. As an ERP application is the centered business hub I also frequently support development in applications and databases surrounding Movex, i.e. MES applications, Finance, printing services, BI, DWH etc. That entails participation in surrounding projects, tests, deployments etc. as well as guide and inform with data, specifications and general info related to Movex logic and Ovako business content. Even helping the business at times with creating Excel queries and tools towards our DWH. Show less
