As a System Administrator Intern at SMIT, I had the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in various areas of network and system administration. During my internship, I was responsible for maintaining regional network switches and firewalls. Additionally, I gained knowledge and experience in Active Directory Domain Services (AD DS) and Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager, as well as working with WinPE.Throughout my internship, I was able to develop my technical skills and knowledge, as well as learn about the importance of teamwork and collaboration in a professional setting. I also had the responsibility of managing the local storage room, keeping inventory organized and up-to-date.One of the most valuable parts of my internship was the hands-on experience of identifying and resolving IT issues that arise in a fast-paced environment. I worked with team members to quickly diagnose and fix both hardware and software problems, and gained a lot of confidence in my problem-solving abilities.Overall, my time at SMIT gave me practical knowledge and skills that will be useful in future IT roles.
