Medical director/CMO in a highly innovative medical device company that makes a difference for thousands of transplant recipients.Throughout my career, first as a Cardiothoracic Surgeon and PhD, now as a Senior medical device executive, I have initiated and led the development of several novel and innovative clinical programs. In my current role as Chief Medical Officer of XVIVO I lead the clinical affairs group. This global team is responsible for executing international multicenter clinical trials, monitoring medical safety, generating and gathering clinical evidence and deliver guidance and input in pipeline development of Class II-III medical devices. I enjoy developing overall company strategies and also work specifically on KOL development, promotion of investigator initiated research and coordination of international research consortia. My analytical and strategic skills are used in close interaction with other company departments and and involvement in all steps of the life cycle of innovative medical devices. Starting at product development and design via international clinical studies and registrations to marketing and product safety .I champion evidence based decisions driven by ethics that creates value for patients.
