As a technical architect in the Analytic Platforms department at Telenor, I have contributed to the implementation and realization of an international provided “Analytic Enabler Program” strategy. The overall goal was to build and integrate several analytic platforms and tools to enable data driven decisions, and analytic capabilities. The platforms mainly concerned a new datalake with a large landscape of data source to consolidate, data security and data flow management.In my role as technical architect I contributed with low level technical challenges and solutions as a link between data engineers, software developers and solution architects, when introducing and implementing new tools and platforms. My roles was party divided between the architect role and software development to keep a close connection to the in-house developed solutions.

As a senior developer at Telenor I have contributed in the development and structuring of a datalake. Tasks involving data sourcing, data ingesting data flow handling. As part of a developer team I also toke part of code reviews, build and release processes and defining standards for the development process.One of the main activities was to create and extend a general ingestion framework using Spark in Scala that supported easy integrations with data from various sources, as well as handling data/schema validation and error handling. The datalake platform, based on Cloudera, also included technologies such as Impala, Kudu, HDFS, Hive and more, which has been central tools in the daily work.

As software developer in a team working with distributed big data solutions I participated in all parts of the software development process from requirements, specification over design, development, implementation and testing.Participating in implementation also involved traveling to different parts of the world, working together with the customers technical staff to ensure success.Main technologies used: Spark, HDFS, ElasticSearch, Scala, JAVA, SQL Server, EMC storage solutions, C# and other .NET technologies.

Working as a consultant and software developer with focus on customer tailing of ERP system to handle the entire shipbuilding process. Customer tailoring included interfacing to other large systems such as Oracle.Part of the job included traveling to customers (in Australia) participating in the design workshops to clarify the systems integration into the existing systems and daily work routines.Main technologies used: Oracle database, C#, LUA scripting

Working at Department of Computer Science in Center for Data Intensive Systems (Daisy). The work conserned two research projects: One about automatic generation of realistic test data and and the other on predicting the size of SQL queries row set in large amounts of data.
