After getting my diploma in solid-state physics I received my doctoral degree in chemistry. My main interest was transmission electron microscopy with a focus on high resolution, spectroscopy and tomography. I investigated a broad range of systems ranging from nano particles to solid-state (hybrid) solar cells and other applications, often arising from collaborations embedded in CeNS and NIM context.Now I am working on an exhaustive software suite for TEM applications, TVIPS EMplified. This is an application from TEM users for TEM users. It includes modules for simple image acquisition, direct TEM control, low-dose (cryo) applications, single particle acquisition, tomography, spectroscopy, STEM support, MicroED and more. Apart from that I also visit customers for TEM camera installations and according training, giving direct support and dealing with a number of other things which come up in a small company.
