I'm an Environmental Engineer, specializing in introducing sustainability and inclusion to public policy, urban planning, transport and mobility. I approach my work with a systems thinking focus, trying to connect the dots between different agendas at once, to maximize impact with the limited resources that are usually available, particularly in the Global South. I have a wide experience in multi-stakeholder and multi-sectorial engagement, having worked with the private sector, at government entities with high-level decision makers, local governments, international development and cooperation agencies, and the NGO sector. I am the Founder of an NGO called the Center for Urban Sustainability in Costa Rica, and Co-Founder of an international consulting firm called Agile City Partners and currently work as the Executive Director of the Global Network for Popular Transportation (previously the Global Partnership for Informal Transportation). I am also a visiting lecturer at UPEACE and a freelance consultant and advisor for different projects and initiatives related to sustainability, inclusion, cities and transport.
