After 10 years helping companies develop and implement IT solutions, I quickly realized that most organizations live under a false sense of security regarding their data and proprietary information. Through supporting companies from various industries on operational, tactical, and strategic levels, I was able to notice one major mistake that is made by most information security professionals. They address security issues from the external threat perspective - providing solutions that make it more difficult to hack the system. Most neglect the user perspective which is the source of a huge amount of security issues, nowadays more than ever.Have you ever worried that your employees aren't careful enough with their user credentials? Or maybe you’ve overheard someone in your organization (even senior management) request something be sent to their personal email account?
