Responsible for drive-system design, component sizing, determination of energy storage requirements for hybrid vehicles, and systems engineering and integration. Supported the education and research activities of the Birmingham Centre for Railway Research and Education. Responsible for curriculum planning and development, module organization, lecture content and delivery, assessment of student progress and grading, and dissertation supervision. Organized and led site visits with up to 28 participants in the UK and on a week-long European study tour. My responsibilities were primarily related to the education provision in this role. Research on novel drive-systems for railway vehicles, such as hybrids, and alternative fuels including hydrogen.
