Perform mechanical engineering on military and commercial portable fuel cell projects from concept to post-launch support. Working within a multidisciplinary team, integrate fluid-mechanical and electrical subsystems with the latest fuel cell technology

•Designed and developed rear Integral Park Brake calipers that packaged in GM’s Global Epsilon Platform. Worked closely with suppliers to optimize manufacturing solutions. Developed DFMEA and developmental test plans to validate designs.•Implemented First North American Integral Park Brake caliper assembly line in Santa Rosa, Mexico. Worked closely with Manufacturing Engineering in development of machinery and assembly processes.•Redesigned Front and Rear caliper assembly for Hummer H1 program to solve vibration and corrosion issues reducing warranty costs by 30%.•Collaborated with casting and machining suppliers to optimize designs for reduced cost and cycle time.•Designed the test setup and fixtures required for concept validation testing by an independent test and research lab.•Conducted benchmarking studies of various competitors’ brake calipers.

Foreign Assignment in Koblenz, Germany - Rear Integral Park Brake Calipers.•Selected by upper management to receive specialized training in Germany. Worked closely with product experts to gain knowledge of Integral Park Brake design and testing methodology.•Designed and developed rear Integral Park Brake caliper for use on Mercedes Benz A-class vehicle.

Worked on the design, detailing, checking, and prototype procurement of various Heavy Duty truck brake system research projects.

Worked in the Air and Fuel handling division of Ford Motor Company developing and designing Throttle Bodies and Intake manifolds.•Developed the first application of an integrated injection molded Throttle body and intake manifold reducing cost by 18%.
