As the head of the RF system AIT at TESAT, I am allowed oversee a team of highly skilled professionals who are responsible for managing the AIT in various projects, developing test concepts, executing tests, preparing test results, providing measurement data, and planning and executing integration concepts. We also provide RF test systems, from initial planning and design through engineering and final application for use in both TESAT systems and customer spacecraft test campaigns. Additionally, we test hybrid payloads (optical/RF) and address various related topics with a customer-centric approach, aiming for effectiveness and efficiency.

Since 1972, the Lampoldshausen specialists have been providing spacecraft launch support services, with 100% success at major international launch sites. Our team permanently participates in safety training and health checks. With the support of back-up staff, we can ensure a maximum of reliability and safety for all spacecraft loading activities.Being responsible for the management, maintenance and operations of a number of test facilities and test stands, an important aspect of this responsibility is the preparation, treatment, containment, movement, handling and transfer of propellants under highly controlled and safe conditions. We ship propellants to our customer facilities where dedicated members of our team manage every aspect of spacecraft fuelling operations and launch support. Our services have proven vital for the successful development and qualification of such projects as the Aestus and Vinci rocket engines, ESA's Automated Transfer Vehicle propulsion system and the complete upper stage of the Vega small launcher.Our propulsion testing and supporting services enables both ourselves and our customers to secure complete project control, autonomy and confidence. My job now is to use the experience gained in leading the propellants department and show our customers the way we work, why we do things as we do it and also, why this is the right way of doing it. Internal AGG reformation; The propellants department became part of the overall AGG MAIT department in Lampoldshausen.

As Head of the Lampoldshausen hypergolic propellants Team, I have three major areas of responsibility:1.) first of all, my team manages all fueling activities in Lampoldshausen w.r.t. MMH, UDMH, Hydrazine, NTO, MON1, MON3, Xenon... etc. in order to provide our customers with everything they might possibly need for their satellites, lauch vehicles and other spacecrafts such as e.g. the ATV. We have all kinds of propellant transport containers (PTCs) to fit all possible requirements on lots of launch sites all over the world (ADR/IMDG/RID/DOT). And last but not least we provide simulant fluids for satellite testing (demineralized water; 2-Propanol, HFE)2.) My team also takes care of the cleaning of the Launch site equipment like fueling carts, hoses, filters and PTCs needed for satellite fueling activities to meet the highest cleanliness standards.3.) Last but not least, the chemistry lab supports all activities with consolidated fuel analyses to ensure highest fuel standards for our customers as well as propellant compatibility analyses of all kinds of materials how they react to current space propellants - and those to come.All these activities and our equipment ensure the higest fuel quality and highest safety standarts to fit our customers needs and ensure them to live long and prosper.

I was responsible for assembly integration and test of TESAT Communication Payloads. The last Program I was involved in is the European Data Reley System (EDRS) and specifically EDRS-A. Here, the main focus is the communication via the TESAT Laser Communication Terminal (LCT) between GEO and LEO Satellites. The Information received via the LCT is then modulated onto an RF carrier to e.g. transmit the data back to Earth.The bird (Eutelsat 9b) is flying and the EDRS-A Payload with the LCT does what it can do best: receiving lagre amounts data at high transfer rates - from LEO to GEO - and transmitting it back to Earth.

I was working in the field of Mangnetohydrodynamics (MHD). The goal of my work was on one hand to find out about the influence of magnetic fields on re-entry steady state, weakly ionized plasma flows and on the other hand to get my PhD.Please see publications for details.
